Venue
To reach the campus of the HSU by Rail and Bus from, e.g., main train station ("Hauptbahnhof") you may use Underground U1 to "Wandsbek Markt", change for bus no. 10 or 263 to bus stop "Universität der Bundeswehr". From Hamburg airport (HAM), you may use the rapid transit line S1 to "Wandsbek Markt”. A single ticket from city center or the airport to the conference location can be purchased from ticket vending machines (or from a bus driver). The price for a normal single trip for one person is 2.95 Euro ("Einzelfahrschein HVV, Großbereich”). For information about public transport in Hamburg see the web site of HVV: http://www.hvv.de/en/. A taxi trip from the city center to the workshop location may cost approx. 20 Euro.
All registered participants, who have prepaid the registration fee before the conference, will receive a public transportation ticket for the entire week (7 days from Saturday on), covering the greater area of Hamburg ("Großbereich"). This ticket will be sent to you by email by 27th of July, which means that you can start using it from the airport/train station.
If you arrive by car from the BAB 24 "Autobahn" you may take exit "Hamburg-Jenfeld”, turn right, travel "Schiffbeker Weg" heading north until "Rodigallee", turn left, follow "Rodigallee" to campus Holstenhofweg (on the left). After entering the campus drive use the guest parking lot (on the right after passing the gatehouse) after registering at gatehouse.
